Request Vacation Pay
Vacation pay is only offered to stylists working 30+ average hours per week, have been employed for more than 12 consecutive months, and who meet their required educational minimums.
Vacation pay is calculated on daily expectations for your current level. The stylist must be living in their level to receive any compensation.
Vacation time must be taken to receive vacation pay. Employees who earn vacation entitlement shall obtain approval from management at least 6 weeks in advance of vacation time.
In the event employees’ desired vacation periods creates scheduling challenges for the business, vacations shall be scheduled based on employee length of service.
Mercer Hair Studio has no liability for vacation pay should you leave before you have accrued the time on your anniversary or entitlement date.
In the event of termination by the Company for violation of Company work rules or failure to give adequate resignation notice, vacation entitlement may be forfeited. In the event termination of employment is due to layoff or lack of work, vacations will be paid.
In the event of a break in an employee’s service, vacation will be determined from the most recent employment date.
Vacation bonus will be offered starting at level 1. You must complete all your required education classes. This means any classes that are hosted in the salon as well as you must do 2 outside classes. Your outside classes must be hair related and must be 4 hours or more. If you are absent more than the allotted 14 days of work, this will not be offered to you. Vacation pay will be paid on the payroll following the approved time off.
